We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the HepaHealthy_Egg project presentation on Thursday, January 30, 2025, with great participation and interest from the industry.

HepaHealthy_Egg is an 18-month interdisciplinary project that harnesses the power of Greek nature, specifically milk thistle (Silybum marianum), to improve the health of laying hens and produce eggs of high nutritional value. 🥚✨

Within the framework of the project:

  • The development, production, and marketing of dietary supplements with therapeutic properties for farm animals are carried out, using plant extracts native to Greece.
  • As a pilot application, milk thistle extract is used in laying hens to enhance their well-being and produce branded eggs of added value.
  • The project contributes to the sustainable and environmentally friendly development of poultry farming in Central Macedonia.
